Renzo Nostini' Youth Grand Prix

From 30 April to 7 May 2025, Riccione becomes the capital of youth fencing with the Gran Premio Giovanissimi ‘Renzo Nostini’, the prestigious national trophy organised by the Italian Fencing Federation (FIS). This event represents the high point of the season for under-14 fencers, an occasion in which young talents from all over Italy compete in the three disciplines of fencing: foil, epee, and sabre.

An appointment that is not just a competition, but a champions' gym, where all the greatest athletes who have written the history of Italian and world fencing have passed through. In fact, the GPG Nostini is a veritable hotbed of talent, as demonstrated by the fact that many Olympic medallists have made their debut in this very tournament.

The event takes place at Riccione's Play Hall, a modern sports hall that offers ample space and state-of-the-art equipment to accommodate athletes, technicians, and fans.

The tournament is dedicated to Renzo Nostini, one of the most influential athletes and sports managers in the history of Italian fencing. A world and Olympic champion, he was among the promoters of youth fencing in Italy, convinced that talent should be cultivated from an early age.
